Composting Workshop In Mission Viejo Free For Residents

Residents who want to learn more about composting are invited to attend the workshop, scheduled for mid-April.

MISSION VIEJO, CA — Are you interested in turning your yard and food waste into organic fertilizer? The City of Mission Viejo is hosting a free composting workshop on April 6.

At the workshop, residents will learn how to turn their yard and food waste into effective fertilizer through traditional composting or vermi-composting. In addition, compost and vermi-composting containers will be available for purchase at a significantly discounted price for Mission Viejo residents.

If you're interested in being a part of the workshop, the city asks you to register as soon as possible as registration is limited. To register, residents should contact 949-470-8458 or greenmv@cityofmissionviejo.org.

The composting workshop will take place 10 a.m. in the Kershaw Garden, which is located between City Hall and the Mission Viejo Library at 200 Civic Center.
