Election Results To Be Certified For Mission Viejo City Council Dec. 13

The City Council will host a special meeting at 4:30 pm on December 13 to certify the results of the November General Municipal Election.

According to the Orange County Registrar of Voters, Mission Viejo voters elected Bob Ruesch for District 1, Brian Goodell for District 2, Cynthia Vasquez for District 3, Trish Kelley for District 4 and Wendy Bucknum for District 5.

The Council Members will be officially sworn-in at 5 pm to take their seats on the dais. A new Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem will be selected for a one-year term as part of the Council's annual reorganization.

Council Members will conduct additional business beginning at 6 pm that includes a public hearing to consider an ordinance to adopt the 2022 California Building and Fire Codes, International Pool and Spa Code and the International Property Maintenance Code.

The public is encouraged to attend the meeting that takes place in the Council Chamber at City Hall, 200 Civic Center. Council meetings are streamed live on the City's website and air on Cox Channel 30 and AT&T U-Verse Channel 99.
