This daylong festival features the talents of the college's big band and New York jazz trombonist Conrad Herwig. Herwig has recorded 19 albums as a leader. His newest release, "The Latin Side of Wayne Shorter" was nominated for a Grammy in 2009. Herwig is currently professor of jazz trombone at Juliard and Rutgers University.
