Holiday Home Lighting Contest
Mission Viejo residents are encouraged to brighten their neighborhoods by competing in the Annual Holiday Home Lighting Contest. Homes must be decorated and applications submitted to the Mission Viejo Activities Committee by 5 pm on Friday, December 6. For more information, call 949-830-7066 or visit this link.

Santa's Workshop (200 Civic Center)
Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, December 4-22, 6-8 pm
Jolly old Santa Claus will plan several return visits to his workshop. Along with Mrs. Claus and the elves, Santa will greet all visitors with a cheerful, Ho! Ho! Ho! and a peppermint candy cane. You are welcome to take two photos during your visit. Santa and Mrs. Claus appear for photos on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday evenings only, but the workshop is open every day for the community to enjoy.
Letters to Santa (200 Civic Center)
December 2-22
Santa promises to answer every holiday wish list deposited in the mailbox next to his workshop between November 26 and December 20. The bearded soul will personally respond to the delight of adults and children alike. Make sure to get your letter in early and print names and addresses clearly.
Holiday Carolers (Potocki Center for the Arts, 27301 La Paz Road)
Saturday, December 14, 5-7 pm
Feel the merriment of the season as you sip hot cocoa and listen to the four-part harmonies of Caroling Connection Entertainment. Performing in their elegant Dickens-style costumes, you will be whisked away to a winter wonderland as you enjoy the sounds of the holiday season.
Candy Holiday Houses (Mission Viejo Library, 100 Civic Center)
Saturday, December 21, 5-7 pm
The Teen Advisory Board is ringing in the holiday season with its annual Candy Holiday House event. This popular program invites children and families to build their own cozy cottages of confectionery.
Mission Viejo Holiday Mix and Mingle (between Civic Center and the North Paseo at LOS OSOS, 25282 Marguerite Parkway)
Saturday, December 21, 5-9 pm
Join us in your own backyard for the Mission Viejo Holiday Mix and Mingle event, which has everything but figgy pudding. Celebrate the season and enjoy activities like the Whoville-themed Night Market with the Grinch; Santa's Workshop with Santa and Mrs. Claus; a snow play area; live entertainment; make-and-take crafts; beer, wine and food trucks; and tons of holiday cheer.
Community Chanukah Wonderland
Sunday, December 22, 3-5 pm (Norman P. Murray Center, 24932 Veterans Way)
The Chabad of Mission Viejo will celebrate the Jewish Festival of Lights with Chanukah music and entertainment, games, activities, a bounce house, creative crafts, face painting, cookie decorating and so much more. Come to experience all the wonderment of Chanukah with the lighting of the menorah, singing traditional holiday songs, eating latkes (potato pancakes) and sufganiyot (jelly donuts).
