Free Tax Preparation Services Available For Mission Viejo Residents

The Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center and Orange County United Way is offering free tax preparation services for qualified individuals for tax year 2025.

Catering to people with a household income less than $69,000; seniors over 50; those with limited English proficiency; veterans; and those with disabilities, appointments take place between 8:30 am and 2:30 pm on Thursdays and 8:30 am and noon on Fridays. Priority registration for residents living in zip codes 92691 and 92692 begins on January 19. Non-Mission Viejo residents can schedule appointments beginning February 12.
To schedule an appointment, several documents are required including physical copies of all required tax documents, a picture ID, Social Security card and more. View the full tax preparation checklist at this link.

This is a drop-and-go process that requires clients to pre-package all required documentation and submit it to the client facilitator at your appointment. You will be contacted upon completion of your return within one to two weeks. Both federal and state income taxes will be filed electronically, and 2025 and 2024 tax returns can be prepared. The service takes place through April 2.
