Living the Life of a Real Housewife of Orange County?

Season 6 of Real Housewives of Orange County is now airing on Bravo TV. It’s a guilty pleasure for most of us. But do these women accurately portray real life in Orange County?

Are they typical of the moms, wives and friends that most of us know here in southern California or right here in Mission Viejo?

A few of the women on the show live just up the street in Ladera Ranch and further back in Coto de Caza so they are practically our neighbors. What do you think about the lives of Tamra, Vicki, Gretchen, Alexis, Peggy and Fernanda?

This week I want to invite all my readers to weigh in on the famous (infamous) housewives that represent us on the national stage.

Julie Flores says: Yes, I watch this show, I admit it. It's a train wreck and I can't look away.  I know Fernanda Rocha. Fernanda is new this season. Fernanda used to teach spin classes at the now closed Crunch fitness center in Mission Viejo. A few friends and I used to take her 5:30 a.m. classes. We would marvel at her truly amazing body (it seems she has been enhanced upfront since I last saw her).

She was great fun, an upbeat gal who was just launching a clothing line at the time. I can't imagine how she got hooked up with the OC ladies, but fame is the ultimate promoter, right? I have known women like the women on the show (my kids used to go to private school) and being around women like that will literally suck the life out of you. I tend to steer clear of women who are well versed in all the latest injectables and have four nannies for their two children. But that's just me.
