Man Molested 2 Young Girls In South OC, Police Say

MISSION VIEJO, CA — A 33-year-old man has been charged with sexually assaulting two girls in south Orange County.

Silverio Hernandez Hernandez was charged Tuesday with eight felony counts of lewd acts with a minor younger than 14. He is accused of molesting one girl on New Year's Day last year and another girl on Dec. 29, according to court records.

Hernandez is a friend of the alleged victims' family, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

Hernandez was scheduled to be arraigned Jan. 30 in the Harbor Justice Center in Newport Beach.
