This is the last week (for now!) of the "Matside" weekly video blog. We are ending things with a video depicting some of the United States' greatest moments in wrestling. You will see high school, collegiate, and international wrestling moments featured. You might not know many of the names, but hopefully you will catch the ethos and pathos of the sport by watching.
I'll give you one hint about one of the men in the video: Foxcatcher, starring Steve Carrell and Channing Tatum, comes out in theatres on Dec 20, and is about the life of the late Dave Shultz. He pops up a few times in this video. See if you can spot him.
We hope you have enjoyed the last 11 weeks with us and have gained an appreciation of our sport. More than that, we hope you are encouraged to give it a try if you have a youngster yourself.
Special thanks to Riccio Productions for making this video.
For more info about the Big Kat Youth Wrestling Club, you can visit our website or Facebook page. Our practices begin December 2. We run winter, spring, and summer programs.
