Mission Viejo To Host 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony
The ceremony will honor those who died in the 9/11 terror attacks 20 years ago.
MISSION VIEJO, CA — The City of Mission Viejo is holding a Patriot Day Remembrance Ceremony on Sept. 11 to remember those who died during the 9/11 World Trade Center attacks 20 years ago, as well as honor the first responder heroes who risked their lives to battle the flames and rescue those in need of help.
To honor the 20th anniversary of 9/11, the ceremony will hear heartfelt messages by representatives from the Orange County Sheriff's Department, the Orange County Fire Authority and Mission Viejo Mayor Trish Kelley. There will be a moment of silence corresponding with the time the first plane hit the North Tower of the World Trade Center.
The ceremony will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at the Kershaw Garden, 200 Civic Center. Attendees can find available parking the Mission Viejo's Civic Center.
