Pair Arrested In Mission Viejo After Violent Shootout Burglary In Pasadena
Two people from San Juan Capistrano are accused of robbing a victim at gunpoint.
MISSION VIEJO, CA — Two people from Orange County were arrested this month on suspicion of robbing a victim at gunpoint and shooting them when they tried to flee in Pasadena at gunpoint in April, officials said.
Marissa Monique Sanchez, 25, and Roman Isael Salgado, 23, both of San Juan Capistrano, were arrested on July 17 in Mission Viejo, the Pasadena Police Department said Tuesday.
Police responded to reports of the shooting on April 25 on the 100 block of East Holly Street near Memorial Park in Pasadena, where they located the victim.

The man was rushed to a hospital, where he received surgery for his injuries and was expected to survive, police said.
The victim told police that he was lured to the city on a false pretense and robbed of jewelry and other valuables at gunpoint by two people. The suspects reportedly drove the victim to several ATMs and forced him to withdraw money at gunpoint.

When he attempted to escape and run from the vehicle, the suspects shot him.
Sanchez has since been charged by the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office with felony robbery. Salgado was charged with felony counts of attempted murder, kidnapping to commit another crime, and robbery, according to police.
