"The performance was good," Saddleback College student Catey Meador said. "I loved how they sang the some of the parts that were in the movie."
The opera is about a disfigured, masked man that wanders the opera house catacombs, haunting and extorting it for money when he learns of a young soprano named Christine, and falls in love with her the moment he hears her voice. He devotes himself to creating a new star out of Christine, using all his abilities and powers to remove obstacles.
