Victim ID'd, Girlfriend Arrested In Mission Viejo Stabbing

A 41-year-old Mission Viejo woman is charged in the fatal stabbing of her 40-year-old boyfriend.

MISSION VIEJO, CA — A 41-year-old Mission Viejo woman was charged Monday in the fatal stabbing of her boyfriend, authorities said.

Georgette Maggie Del Rio was charged with one count of murder, with a sentencing enhancement for the personal use of a deadly weapon, Orange County Sheriff's Department spokesperson Todd Hylton said.

Del Rio was being held on $1 million bail, officials said.

She is accused of killing William Clemens, 40, according to authorities.

Orange County sheriff's deputies responded around 6:20 p.m. Thursday to a house in the 21000 block of Calabaza, according to a previous Patch report. Authorities found the victim in the back yard of the home with stab wounds, Hylton said.

Del Rio was arrested at the scene, authorities said.

The couple lived in the house with other roommates, who called deputies about the stabbing, City News Service reported.
