Winter Break Camps In Mission Viejo Open For Registration

The winter camps are geared toward children ages 5-11 and offer a variety of interactive and immersive topics.

MISSION VIEJO, CA — With schools gearing up for the holiday break, the City of Mission Viejo is offering kids exciting Winter Break camps Jan. 2-5.

Residents can register today for the following camps catering to ages 5-11.

Hogwarts Academy
This fun interactive and creative camp will help you perfect your wizardry skills while making your own wand; discovering which house you're inside; and identifying creatures. Camp will take place from 9 am to noon at the Norman P. Murray Center, 24932 Veterans Way. Cost is $150.

Stop Motion Animation
kids will have a blast with stop motion animation using a variety of materials, storyboarding ideas as well as developing plots and creating amazing films as you bring inanimate objects to life. Camp will take place from 9 am to noon at the Potocki Center for the Arts, 27301 La Paz Rd. Cost is $160.

Rocket Science and Astronomy
Youth will explore the universe learning about comets, constellations and the galaxy through fun and creative activities. Camp will take place from 1 to 4 pm at the Norman P. Murray Center, 24932 Veterans Way. Cost is $175.

Anime, Cartooning and Comic Creation
Learn how to draw different facial expressions, create backgrounds, write plots and more as you create your own comics. Camp will take place from 1 to 4 pm at the Potocki Center for the Arts, 27301 La Paz Rd. Cost is $160.
