• Man arrested for allegedly physically & sexually assaulting 70-year-old woman in Mojave (bakersfieldnow.com) — Law enforcement in Mojave responded this week after a 70-year-old woman was seriously injured in an alleged assault inside a local business, leading to the arrest of a 34-year-old suspect. Deputies from Mojave and Rosamond substations quickly identified and detained the man, who is being held without bail, while the victim was hospitalized, treated for multiple injuries, and later released.
