Patch Blog: Christie's and the Donut Summit
Donut Summit is this weekend and I'm bringing Christy's to the party to be judged with the best LA has to offer.
I'm a fan and not so silent promo'er of all things Monrovia, especially our local businesses that deserve the shout out.
Sunday is the 2nd Annual Blogging.LA Donut Summit in Elysian Park. Donut lovers from around the metro area will gather with their favorite donuts for a judging and award giving to the best in several categories. There will even be "celebrity food bloggers" on hand to aid with the tasting and judging.
The donuts will be coming from a variety of folks, bakeries and homemade from around the city and awards will be given in nearly a dozen categories starting with most perfectly round. Chain stores are out of the question...bring a Krispy Kreme and you will be mocked.
here in Monrovia will be my contribution to the tasting and judging. Which of their varieties I'll bring I don't know for sure yet. I'm very partial to their Bavarian Cream filled variety but am I missing out on one that is even more special? What say you on the topic? If I don't bring Christy's who would you suggest in its place?
