Irwindale Brushfire Chars 30 Acres At Santa Fe Dam Rec Area
The blaze was reported in the recreation area Thursday evening.

IRWINDALE, CA – A brush fire in Irwindale that has scorched nearly 30 acres and threatened structures in a storage area at a nearby brewery is now 65 percent contained Friday morning.
The fire was reported about 5:40 p.m. Thursday in the Santa Fe Dam Recreation area, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
A second alarm was called at 6:20 p.m. as the flames moved toward a storage area at the MillerCoors brewery, a dispatch supervisor said.

Five helicopters made water drops to assist firefighters on the ground and by 8 p.m. firefighters had a good handle on the blaze and air units were released, the dispatcher said.
A civilian who suffered smoke inhalation is the only injury reported, according to CBS2.
