JFED PLAYERS COMMUNITY THEATRE ENSEMBLE ANNOUNCES ITS NEXT PRODUCTION, "Once Upon a Mattress"
by Mary Rodgers and Marshall Barer. Produced by Cantor Judy Sofer; Directed by Jenna Vandegrift; Music Director Bryan Murphy.
MONROVIA – “Once Upon a Mattress,” the JFed Players Community Theatre Ensemble’s eleventh production, opens Saturday, March 27th.
Set in medieval Europe, “Once Upon a Mattress” is a musical interpretation of the children’s fairy tale, “The Princess and the Pea” – but for adults! In a kingdom ruled by a domineering, talkative Queen and mute King, the search is on for a genuine, bonafide princess to marry the prince. Until she is found, no one in the kingdom can marry. The music and lyrics by Mary Rodgers and Marshall Barer enhance the entertaining book by Jay Thompson, Marshall Barer, and Dean Fuller. Will the prince find his princess? Come to a show and find out!
