POMONA, CA -- A man was fatally wounded Wednesday in a shooting in Pomona. It happened around 2 a.m. in the 1200 block of Mission Boulevard, the Los Angeles County Fire Department reported. The victim was airlifted at 2:16 a.m. to a trauma center in critical condition, said county fire Dispatch Supervisor Ed Pickett. The man later died, according to the Pomona Police Department. The shooting occurred inside of a bar at closing time, a news videographer reported from the scene. There were no reports of any other victims. No information was immediately released on what prompted the shooting.
