Man Struck, Killed While Walking in Street Near Monrovia
The man was walking in the eastbound lanes well outside of the designated crosswalk when he was struck, police said.

ARCADIA, CA -- A man in his 40s was killed Wednesday when he was struck by a vehicle while walking on a street in Arcadia.
The crash was reported around 5:30 p.m. in the 600 block of East Live Oak Avenue, according to Arcadia Police Department Lt. Colleen Flores.
The man was walking in the eastbound lanes well outside of the designated crosswalk when he was struck, Flores said. He died of his injuries at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle was not injured and immediately stopped at the scene, Flores said.
