Monrovia Cub Scout Pack 66
Monrovia Pack 66 with Local Troops & Blaze Pizza support Friends of Scouting and the City of Monrovia!
If there is anything you can take away from how we do business, it’s that we love our community and we like to think our community loves us right back! Part of that mutual love and respect can be reflected in the vision of Marijayne Stegman, District Friends of Scouting Chair who organized the amazing fundraising program with local business Blaze Pizza located in the Foothill Park Plaza, 108 W Foothill Blvd, Monrovia. This is a local organization that creates deliciouspizzas by empowering the consumer to “build-your-own” pizza. Blaze Pizza is a unique company as they support the local Boy Scout programs and allow them to hold fundraising programs where 20% of the money earned goes directly back into the Scouting program.
Many of the local Packs and Troops participated and showed their support, Duarte Troop 185, Monrovia Troop 141, Monrovia Pack 66, and Duarte Pack 188 as well as the Paul Bisterfeldt District Executive showed his support, and newly appointed Field Executive Lucia Bernal with her daughter were among the attending.

The employee’s at Blaze Pizza in Monrovia are beyond exceptional. How they handled the influx of Scouts and their families along with the normal dinner crowds was nothing short of awe inspiring.
There were Tigers Cubs to WeBelos to Boy Scouts there, and all were enjoying the food harmoniously. Watching how the older scouts such as Zach Stegman interacted with the younger “soon-to-be” Boy Scouts is always a treat. The younger Cubs look up to Zach as he has a special way with them and is an amazing example of how a Boy Scout should be.

The team at Blaze Pizza who were on the “front-lines” this night were Erick, Bri, Jess, Romeo, Blake H., Bernardo, Yoli, Michael, Ana, and Armando “Oven Master” L. and we cannot forget the General Manager Desmond that the employees spoke of fondly who could not be there.
The Cubs from Pack 66 were able to watch Armando and Blake work their magic and ask questions. They were also kind enough to spare some time to take a picture with the boys, WeBelos Roman B., Wil A., and Degas P.
Thank you to all who helped the Friends of Scouting, for when you help them you are helping the future of a Scout. By Mark Peters, Cub Master of Pack 66
