Police Investigating Large Fight at Extended Stay
A group of subjects reportedly broke items inside the hotel lobby.

A group of people were reportedly fighting inside of a Monrovia hotel early Saturday morning.
Possibly 16 subjects were fighting inside the lobby at Extended Stay America, 930 South 5th Avenue, around 1:50 a.m. According to the caller, the subjects were breaking objects inside the lobby, according to scanner reports.
At least one person was injured when he was reportedly pepper sprayed by an unknown subject, but the man refused medical attention, said Lieutenant Jaime Alfaro of Monrovia Police.
A group of people involved in the fight were outside the hotel being detained when Monrovia officers arrived, Alfaro said.
Arcadia Police were originally dispatched to the call, but Monrovia officers eventually took over the investigation. All subjects but one were eventually released after being interviewed. A man was arrested on an outstanding warrant, police said.
What initiated the fight and assessment of damage was not immediately known.
