SGV Man Shot, Wounded in Suspected Gang Shooting
The victim was in critical condition when taken to a hospital but is expected to survive, police said.

EL MONTE, CA -- A man in his 20s was shot and wounded Thursday in El Monte in what is being investigated as a gang-related attack.
The shooting was reported about 8:30 a.m. in the 11900 block of Rio Hondo Parkway, said El Monte police Lt. Ernie Cramer.
The victim was in critical condition when taken to a hospital, where he underwent surgery, Cramer said, adding that the young man is expected to survive.

No suspect information was immediately available but police were in the process of securing a search warrant for an undisclosed location.
Cramer said the shooting appears to have been gang-related, but that has not been confirmed.
