Give Like Dolly Day to support children's literacy on Sept. 25 (kingcityrustler.com) — Families in Monterey County can enroll children under 5 in Dolly Parton's Imagination Library and donate locally as "Give Like Dolly Day" is celebrated each Sept. 25. The program already mails free, culturally appropriate English and bilingual books to thousands of county kids, and local partners hope more Monterey-area residents will sign up, spread the word, or contribute to keep it growing.
