• East Los Angeles College, Monterey Park Chamber Launch Junior Chamber Program to Connect Students With Business and Community – The Los Angeles Post (lapost.us) — Monterey Park students now have a new way to connect with local businesses through a Junior Chamber Program launched by East Los Angeles College and the Monterey Park Chamber of Commerce. Funded memberships for 100 students, mentorships, mixers, and industry events aim to build career paths while helping local companies grow and stay rooted in the city.

• Newsom clamps down on California data centers as voters turn against the industry (laist.com) — Monterey Park is highlighted among California cities that have restricted or reversed approval of data centers amid rising public concern. New statewide laws signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom will shift infrastructure costs to data center operators, require resource-use disclosures, and tighten environmental review, potentially reinforcing local decisions about where and how such facilities can be built.
