2 Killed, 6 Hurt in Three-Car Crash Near Sunland

SUNLAND, CA — Two men were killed Friday afternoon and six other people were injured, four of them critically, in a three-vehicle crash in the Shadow Hills area.

The collision was reported at 3:18 p.m. in the 9200 block of La Tuna Canyon Road, according to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

At least one patient had to be cut out of the wreckage and was airlifted to a hospital, she said.

Two men, who were not immediately identified, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Two men and two male juveniles were in critical condition and two other men suffered minor injuries, Stewart said.

All but one of the injured were taken to a hospitals, she said.

One of the men who sustained minor injuries declined hospital transport against medical advice, Stewart said.
