Rockhaven Sanitarium was the last
remaining intact sanitarium in the Foothills, an area that once hosted dozens of
sanitariums. Now abandoned, Rockhaven was purchased by the City of Glendale, and
since then has been lovingly maintained by the City and the Friends of
Rockhaven. Joanna Linkhorst, head of the Friends of Rockhaven, will talk about
Rockhaven's fascinating history as an upscale women-only facility, and the many
movie stars and community leaders that were patients there. She'll describe its
current state, and the dreams for its future as a community center. Monday,
