UPDATE: Power Restored to all Montrose-La Crescenta GWP Customers

A power substation outage impacted the Montrose-La Crescenta about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

UPDATE 6:10 p.m.: Power is restored to all Montrose-La Crescenta residents, Glendale officials said. 

At 5:32 p.m. Tuesday all customers had power again, Glendale Police Sgt. Tom Lorenz told Patch via email. 

At 4:38 p.m. Tuesday power was not completely restored in Montrose-La Crescenta. About 2,000 customers were still without power, Lorenz said.

About 4:30 p.m. Tuesday 3,200 customers had power restored, Lorenz said.

Patch also received information from readers with outages near Boston Avenue, north of Foothill Boulevard, and also between Lauderdale and Boston avenues. 

Glendale Water & Power officials had originally announced power restored in Montrose-La Crescenta about 3:20 p.m. Tuesday. 

Authorities reported 5,600 customers were without power in the foothills. 

A power substation outage impacted the Montrose-La Crescenta about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to a Glendale Department of Water & Power employee who declined to give her name. 

, including one at Sparr Heights Community Center.
