CVHS Junior, Veronica White Magpie, competed and won Hart of The West Pow Wow Princess on Sept. 25. The Native American Pow Wow is held every year in Sept. at William S. Hart Park and Museum in Newhall, Calif.
Veronica will represent the Pow Wow for one year. She will be traveling to different Pow Wows in the area and dancing Fancy Shawl style. Veronica has been dancing at Pow Wows since she was a 2-year-old. She is from the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe in South Dakota.
Veronica loves going to CVHS and loves dancing at Pow Wows. She plans to continue her education to become a veterinarian.
