DO YOU REMEMBER....

This is an announcment of my curiosity:  Do you think it is a bad sign if I can remember things in old Glendale / Montrose that no one else can rememeber ?  You have to be old(er) to remember names and places.  An old house in Glendale turned into a restaurant named Brotherton's Farm House......The Arcade Theatre on North Brand....Pheiffer's Toy shop on Brand....The under ground restroom with entrance to it ..steps going down...in the middle of the sidewalk on Brand....The white plaster dog on sidewalk out side of a music store on Brand....Dr Lloyd Clark Beardsley...Winns Frosty Freeze corner of Foothill and Ramsdell....When the Pennys store in Montrose had cables going from point of sale to cashier in upper area over entrance and money  paid to sales person was sent by canisters with pull of a cable and the cannister went flying up the cable to cashier  Pappy Welles, Metal shop teacher at Clark,  Mrs Miles, typing teacher at Clark.....Anna Ross, Piano teacher, Clementine Preston, Piano teacher....Stewart's Formula,  Adohr Milk (Rhoda spelled backwards..daughter of founder)  Jolly Time Ice Cream Trucks,  Andrews and Evans Hot Rods on San Fernando near Burbank line,  Hunter Hancock, DJ....Huggy Boy, DJ.......Dick Love's Good Food on San Fernando Rd, Glendale,,,,Johnny Lail, Hudson dealer , Glendale.....NO?  you aint a seasoned "saint"
