Funding Up to $100,000 Available for Construction and Renovation Projects at Synagogues, Schools, and Nonprofits Serving Jewish Community

LOS ANGELES (Oct. 17, 2012) – The Jewish
Community Foundation of Los Angeles (The Foundation) today announced an application submission deadline of Dec. 6, 2012 for its 2013 Capital Grants program. Awards of up to $100,000 are available for new construction or renovation at synagogues, schools and nonprofits that predominantly serve the Los Angeles Jewish community.
Organizations must demonstrate feasibility for completion of the requested portion of the project by March 31, 2015 (two years from the date of grant award).

Marvin I. Schotland, The Foundation’s president and chief executive officer, said: “Capital funding is important not only to help institutions add new construction or renovate
their facilities, but also to ensure ongoing delivery of services and programs. Our Capital Grants are consistent with The Foundation’s focus of building a strong, vibrant Los Angeles Jewish community. In the past decade, we have contributed more than $1 million in capital funding to some 36 worthy organizations to help them better serve thousands of members of the Jewish community.”
