SEN. LIU AND KOREAN CHURCHES HOST FORECLOSURE PREVENTION WORKSHOP
GLENDALE – Sen. Carol Liu and Korean Churches for Community Development (KCCD) will host a foreclosure prevention workshop April 28, 2012.

The event will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Glendale Pacific Community Center.
“Many homeowners are struggling to modify their home loans or stop a foreclosure,” said Liu,
D-La Cañada-Flintridge. “This workshop will explain ways they can get help and keep their houses.”
Those attending will learn about assistance programs from banks and how to access public resources. Representatives will attend from Bank of America, Chase Bank, U.S. Bank and Wells Fargo.

KCCD is a non-profit, faith-based organization that serves as a bridge between the Asian-American community and the greater community at large. The group’s mission is to maximize the capacity of Asian-American faith-based organizations and other community nonprofits to remove the cultural, language and economic barriers by increasing their access to resources and funds in order to assist low-income individuals and revitalize neighborhoods.

Liu represents about 930,000 people in the 21st Senate District, which includes Burbank, Glendale, Pasadena, La Cañada-Flintridge, San Gabriel, Temple City, and several City and County of Los Angeles communities.
