Star Cafe offers food connoisseurs a variety of unique, home-style dishes in a casual, Italian bistro setting. The restaurant centers around an open kitchen with an authentic brick oven. Owner Jeff Williams introduced his restaurant to our community in 1998, with the goal of "providing great food and great service." With a large menu and around six daily specials, it is easy to find a meal that will please everyone.
Once seated, your server delivers the restaurant's signature knotted rolls, and whether you eat them with butter, dipped in olive oil, or "au natural" they are spectacular. In fact, you can purchase an extra dozen to take home for $3.95.
Star Cafe's menu features a wide variety of pastas, salads, sandwiches, seafood, and traditional chicken and beef dishes. The most popular salad is the Greek-inspired Jackie-O salad, which features feta cheese, tomatoes, and cucumbers in a creamy garlic and dill dressing.

Gazpacho soup (chilled chunky tomato soup with veggies) is an excellent complement to any meal. Star Cafe puts a unique twist on its Gazpacho by adding chilled shrimp and lime that gives it a ceviche-like taste (minus the fish).
The brick oven cooks over 15 different specialty pizzas to perfection, including the "barbeque chicken pizza" and the "brie and spinach calzone."

The dessert menu varies from day to day, but the legendary homemade tiramisu is regularly offered. Fresh mochas, espressos and cappuccinos complement the desserts.
Brunch is served on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. With choices such as quiches, frittatas, oak fired breakfast pizzas, and fresh French toast, it is hard to decide what to choose. And don't forget to bring the kids for brunch, since they eat free (ages 10 and under from 10 a.m. to noon).
Seating is available upstairs in their outdoor enclosed garden terrace, where a waterfall and fresh plants give the feeling of being far away from a busy Honolulu Avenue. The terrace is a great location to dine with youngsters as there is room to stretch and explore. Star Cafe offers a children's menu, plenty of high chairs and booster seats, and their strawberry lemonade is a big hit with kids!
Can't make it to the restaurant? Call ahead for free delivery service. Open Monday through Thursday 11 a.m.-10:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m.-11 p.m., and Sundays from 10 a.m.-10 p.m.
