Black History Month Comes Alive at Montrose School
Speaker, singer David Johnson spoke about making dreams come true and reenacted Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at Montrose Christian Montessori School.
Montrose Christian Montessori School hosted David Johnson - who spent time speaking with Rosa Parks years ago, and talked about making dreams a reality in honor of Black History of Month.
“Your dreams can become a reality,” Johnson repeated during his presentation on Feb. 10.
The renowned speaker, orator and singer captivated the students who range in ages from pre-school through sixth grade children. He sang songs, stories and games with the group.

Johnson also recited excerpts from Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s I Have a Dream speech complete with a reenactment of King’s voice. The students were in awe of his ability to solve the Rubik's cube without even looking. Johnson was invited by the Parent Teacher Organization at MCMS.
