Citizens Academy Returning to Glendale Police Dept.
Residents have the chance to learn the ins and outs of law enforcement.

The Glendale Police Department is offering the Citizens Academy once again, offering a broad background into law enforcement and how the department works.
Current members of Glendale Police will teach the courses covering narcotics, crime scene investigations, gangs, robbery, homicide and terrorism.
"Participants come away with a better understanding how they can partner with the Glendale Police Department to reduce or prevent crime and keep Glendale safe," officials said.
The course runs three months beginning June 19. Classes are held once a week.
Any Glendale resident over the age of 18 can attend the Citizens Academy. The class is limited to 25 attendees. Applicants must pass a background check. Applications are available at the Glendale Police Station Foundation website.
