In addition to Torres, who also coaches the Crescenta Valley varsity baseball team, the all-star squad boasts plenty of other ties to the Falcon program. On the team's roster are Eliott Surrey, Kyle Murray, Troy Mulcahey, Ted Boeke, Troy Prasertsit, Cameron Silva and Joe Torres. Phil Torres will be looking to win his fourth World Series as coach of the SGV All-Stars; his last championship came in 2007. San Gabriel Valley capped an undefeated run through the Pacific Southwest Regional tournament at Modesto Christian High School with a SGV begins its quest for a championship Aug. 6 against Syracuse, N.Y. at 11 a.m. in the World Series opener.
