CVHS Softball Program in Desperate Need of Donations

$2500 is needed to extend a fence on the CVHS softball field.

The softball program at is in need of funds to extend the fence along the left field line of the softball field at the high school.

John Cookson, parent of a CVHS softball player, is spearheading a fundraising campaign to raise the $2500 needed to complete the project. The softball program has not gotten any funding from the school district for this project, but the school district has approved it, said Cookson.

The extra fencing is needed to keep the ball in play and to protect the spectators who sit in the shady left field area to watch the game.

“There is limited seating in the bleachers. A lot of the parents sit [in left field]. The fence will give extra protection to the parents and protects the kids from the parents,” said Cookson.

On Tuesday June 7, in Montrose will partner with Cookson to help raise funds. To participate, simply eat a meal at Giuseppe’s and tell your server you are there for the Crescenta Valley Softball Fundraiser.
