Beefed Up DUI Enforcement Yields 2,168 Arrests

Arrests happened during the "Avoid the 100" anti-DUI campaign.

A total of 2,168 people were arrested in Los Angeles County on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol during the 19-day holiday period and more sobriety checkpoints were held over the weekend.

The arrests were made during the "Avoid the 100" anti-DUI campaign between Dec. 14 and Jan. 1, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department statement.
