It has been one year since my singles column made its Montrose Patch debut and in honor of all my amazing singles, I have decided to travel back in time to catch up with some popular past guests. This is still the case! I have a hard time meeting men who want a relationship for the same reasons as I do, I guess. 

Dated much since I saw you in June?

I have been on a few dates. One guy I invited back to my house cause I knew him pretty well and we sat down to watch a movie and have . Then I fell asleep.

Wow. Have you had any other successful dates?

I met a guy in school. He seemed very nice, you know? I think he was too young. We went out twice, but it didn’t work out. He didn’t pay for dinner. I think he was really broke. I felt bad. But when I am taken out on a , it’s a turn on when the man pays and when he doesn’t, it makes me feel like I am the one in charge.

It sure does put a damper on chivalry.

It’s not right. He wasn’t established in his work, so I had to pass. He was nice, though.

Right. Because you have a daughter as I recall.

Yes. She will be two in December. I need to be with someone who is settled in his life already. I can’t be out dating like myself! Even though it is unfair of me to say. I just don’t know if true love exists, you know?

Oh no. Funny you should ask. I am switching gears and decided to do what I am passionate about instead, which is . I am registering again for school soon at and I want to look into more creative fields.

You will only be happy in life if you follow your passion. I think that’s a great switch. What else is new?

I signed my daughter up for some new classes at the . It’s so much fun seeing her be a toddler now. 

Will you have more kids?

Someday. Maybe. I would have to meet the right man first!

How will you know when you meet him?

I don’t know. I guess I will know by the way he treats me and how smart he is.

Is intelligence important? 

It is the most important!

What else?

He has to care for my daughter and get along with my mother. Oh! And is good.

Anything else new since we last chatted?

Last week my friends and I went to for dinner and for drinks and had such a fun night out. Although, I spend more time in downtown Glendale and the Americana. Oh and I did go bowling though recently! 

I love the old . How are things back in your native Bulgaria?

I went back for a short period recently to see family and settle some business. I had to leave my daughter with my mom, so that was hard. But I like going back home and seeing friends. It’s hard to meet good friends here when you didn’t grow up here.

Do you have plans?

I will celebrate with my mom, my daughter and two friends for some turkey at my place.

I am going out with my friend to a .

Tower Heist.

It’s been raining lately and I have been feeling like a movie. Rain can be depressing. So, when all else fails, find things to laugh about, right?
