"From the Heart #10" - Blood Drive - Sunday, July 10th

Now celebrating its tenth year, the event will be held on Sunday, July 10th at USC Verdugo Hills Hospital (1812 Verdugo Road, Glendale) from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The Red Cross will be on-site to collect whole blood and double red cell donations. The event will also feature a raffle for donors, healthy snacks and dozens of home-made cookies, baked by the chapter’s Ticktockers.

Last July, NCL and community members donated 107 units of blood. This year, the NCL Blood Drive Committee of Hilary Fausett, Kara Sergile, Laura Buchanan, and Priscilla Musso, plan to surpass that amount and reach 120 units to celebrate the ten year anniversary of this annual event! “We expect to exceed last year’s donations and support our local community with this blood drive. In the summer months, blood supplies are critically low, so every unit that is donated can save lives and make a difference.”

The Chapter’s Ticktockers have sent out over 450 invitations to new, current and past supporters, are promoting throughout our community at local businesses, and are engaging in a social media campaign!

NCL encourages the community to make an appointment by contacting Priscilla Musso at fromtheheart@nclglendale.org or by scheduling on the Red Cross’ website (www.redcrossblood.org, SPONSOR CODE: NCLGLENDALE). Walk-ins are welcome. Donors should expect to spend between 60-90 minutes per appointment.
