How Does the Crescenta Valley Celebrate Korean and Armenian Heritage?

Months ago, leaders from the Armenian and Korean community decided they wanted to plan a two-day celebraton. Not even triple digit weather can hold them back. 

Volunteers grill chicken kebob and bbq ribs during the first annual , which started Saturday and continues Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at , 3901 Dunsmore Ave., La Crescenta. 

Performances for the event included , and Master Chung from Elite Tae Kwon Do on Saturday.

A traditional Armenian wedding happens about 4 p.m. Sunday, along with carnival rides, music and dance performances, according to the Korean Armenian Cultural Festival Facebook page

Los Angeles County Department Parks & Recreation, Supervisor Michael Antonovich, businesses, the Crescenta Valley Town Council and non-profit organizations are co-sponsoring the event.

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Crescenta Valley Town Council Scholarship Fund and the in La Crescenta.
