La Crescenta's Nearby Japanese Internment Camp (Video)

You may know Verdugo Hills Golf Course in Tujunga, near the border of La Crescenta, but this location was once the site of a Japanese interment camp during World War II.

About 1,000 Japanese people were held at the La Tuna Canyon Camp and about two thirds were born in the United States, according to John Newcombe's film Rancho La Canada.
