"Between Analysis and Synthesis: SpectralGL, Audio Visualization and
the New
Paradigm for Real-Time Interactive
Instruments" will
be presented at Glendale Community College on Tuesday, March 25
at 12:20 p.m. in Cimmarusti Science Center room 177.
Jesse Gilbert, Chair of Media
Technology at Woodbury University, is the speaker. He works in sound and software design,
creating flexible tools that are activated in live performance, via network
interaction, or in installation settings. His work has recently focused on
developing SpectralGL, an interactive 3D visual instrument, building
multi-channel immersive sonic environments and on composing electro-acoustic
music for the moving image.

presentation is part of the GCC Science Lecture Series. Admission is free and open to the
