Nutrition Discussed at Science Lecture
"Nutrition: Science or Fad?" will be presented at Glendale Community College from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22.

“Nutrition: Science or Fad?” will be presented at Glendale Community College from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22 in Cimmarusti Science Center room 177 as part of the GCC Science Lecture Series.
The speaker is Sona Donayan, a registered dietitian/nutritionist, adult weight management specialist and adjunct associate professor at GCC. Her lecture will present the many aspects of the nutrition discipline by exposing some contemporary trends/fads and controversies, and exploring educational and career pathways in nutrition. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in biology from UCLA and her Master’s degree in Family Consumer Sciences/Nutrition from California State University, Northridge. In addition to teaching at GCC, Donayan is a consultant to geriatric health care facilities, where she practices menu development, food service auditing, staff training and dietary care planning.
