Open auditions held for fall theatre production

Open auditions will be held for the Glendale Community College Theatre Arts Department fall production at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 2 and Thursday, Sept. 3 in the Auditorium. Those wishing to audition need only show up for one of the dates. Actors will read sides from the play.

The fall production is the farcical “The Government Inspector,” by Nikolai Gogol and adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher opening Oct. 29

All cast members must enroll in theatre arts workshops in the fall semester. The required courses are Theatre Arts 162 – Modern Theatre Workshop and Theatre Arts 129 – Backstage Lab for Performers. The production will also need crew including stage managers, light and sound technicians. Production crew must in enroll in Theatre Arts 182 – Technical Theatre in Modern Production.
