Pancakes Piled for Community Fundraiser at CVHS

Hundreds of hungry Crescenta Valley community members ate stacks of pancakes, sausage and eggs Saturday.

Families, students and community members met at the quad to raise funds for several organizations, including the high school and Crescenta Valley Town Council.

Council members flipped pancakes and sported chef hats during the event, raising about $4,000, according to .

There were also several emergency food runs for extra juice and pancake fixings.

For each $5.00 ticket sold, the school team or organization who sold the ticket keeps $2.50, Davis told Patch. The council keeps the other $2.50 to cover the costs, with some profits benefiting scholarships and some going toward town council operating expenses.

"It's truly is a win-win situation for the school, the community and the council," Davis said.
