Police Seek Suspects in La Crescenta Attempted Home Robbery on Halloween

The three suspects attempted to break into a home but were scared off when they triggered the home-security alarm.

LA CRESCENTA, CA - Police on Monday circulated security images of three men being sought for trying to burglarize a La Crescenta-area home on Halloween.

The suspects parked in front of the residence in the 3700 block of Santa Carlotta about 6:30 p.m. Oct. 31 and walked to the backyard, said Tahnee Lightfoot of the Glendale Police Department.

"They approached the rear sliding glass door and looked inside, using their cell phones to illuminate the interior," Lightfoot said.

"One of the suspects opened the unlocked slider, activating the alarm system (and) causing the suspects to quickly flee," she said. "No entry was made and no loss was reported."

The suspects, who appeared to be in their 20s, fled in a silver 2008- 2012 Chevrolet Malibu with chrome rims. All three were described as having thin builds, and two had goatees.
