Santa Carlotta Street Pipe Project Slated for February

The project will cost about $380,000 and is scheduled to begin in mid-February, according to Crescenta Valley Water District.

La Crescenta residents might expect road delays this February as Crescenta Valley Water District begins construction on an 8-inch water main.

Crews will work in the 3000 and 3100 Blocks of Santa Carlotta Street and Cloud Avenue, between Paraiso Way and Santa Carlotta Street, CV Water District Assistant Engineer Christina Olmedo told Patch.

It is expected to cost about $380,000 and should take more than two months to complete, Olmedo said.

"This project will upgrade the existing mostly 4-inch pipe with a new 8-inch pipe which will improve our distribution system's water quality and fire flow capacities," she said.

The approximately 1,900 linear feet of pipe has remained a priority for the water district since the area has a high frequency of maintenance and repairs in the past several years, Olmedo said.
