UPDATE: La Crescenta, La Cañada Robberies May be Linked, Police Say
While jogging, an 18-year-old man was assaulted by three men on Wednesday. The Crescenta Valley Sheriff's Station reports this might be the suspects' second attack.

UPDATE: In an interview with Patch, Sgt. Ray Harley of the said that there may be a possible connection between Wednesday's attack and , when a 19-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint by suspects of a similar description.
No suspects have yet been apprehended in either case. Police continue to investigate both attacks.
Previously: The Crescenta Valley Sheriff's Station reported that an 18-year-old man was attacked and robbed at the intersection of Ramsdell Avenue and Encinal Avenue while jogging on Aug. 11 at 10 p.m.

"The victim was jogging toward his home when the black BMW containing the three suspects slowed next to him," Sgt. Ray Harley said in a prepared statement. "A passenger in the vehicle asked for driving directions, and the victim complied. The same suspect then asked to borrow the victim’s cell phone."
Harley added: "After the victim told him he didn’t have a phone, the car stopped and the three suspects exited. One of the suspects grabbed the victim’s shirt, and out of fear he started running. Two of the suspects quickly caught up to the victim and began punching him on the face. The victim fell to ground while covering his face to protect himself from the blows."

The third suspect reportedly reached into the victim’s pockets and removed his iPod while the punching continued. The suspects returned to their car with the iPod and fled westbound on Encinal Avenue, Harley said.
Fortunately, the victim did not require medical treatment. Harley reports that the victim described the three suspects as 20 to 25 years old and wearing dark hooded jackets or sweatshirts.
The first suspect was further described as approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and 175 pounds. The second suspect was approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, 190 pounds, and the third suspect was approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, 170 pounds.
