The 25th Annual Putnam County
Spelling Bee”
will be staged by the Glendale Community College Theatre Arts
and Music Departments in the Auditorium Mainstage Theatre beginning April. 3.



            With music and lyrics by William
Finn and book by Rachel Sheinkin, “The 25th
Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee”
is a tale of overachievers’ angst with
six adolescent outsiders vying for the spelling championship of a lifetime.  The spelling bee is the one place where they
can stand out and fit in at the same time. 
The musical is directed by GCC theatre arts professor Jeanette D. Farr.



Performances are April 3, 4, 5, 10, 11
and 12 at 8 p.m. and April 6 and 13 at 2 p.m. 
Tickets are $20 general admission, $15 for students and seniors and $12
each for groups of 10 or more.  These prices
include a $2 per ticket convenience fee.
