Argentinian Transient Seeks No Ego Love

Away from her home in Argentina and eager to learn the English language, Diana Tittaferrante has her head up and her hopes high.

When I met Diana Tittaferrante in Montrose she was on her way to get her nails done at and I knew she wasn’t from around here. Mostly due to her subtle relaxation and the fact that she asked me for directions. But when I quid pro quo’ed her into my , I found out that the men in her hometown of Buenos Aires are a tad over dramatic and that few things in life are more difficult than learning a whole new language.

What are you doing here? 

I am visiting.

Where did you come from?

Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Oh, how beautiful over there. How long have you been here?

50 days.

It sounds like a person trying to quit or something … 50 days sober!

It feels like that with all the schooling I am doing!

What are you studying?

I am studying in Koreatown. It’s very difficult, but it’s time to learn. I am in class five hours a day. 

What made you choose this area to stay?

It was recommended and very quiet and peaceful. I like it a lot.

How long will you be staying here?

Three months. 

In this area? 

Yes, I am renting an apartment down the street. It can get very lonely out here, though. 

Any favorite places?

I like here and . Tomorrow I am going to see Cirque Du Soleil’s Iris in Hollywood.

Oh, it was amazing. You will love it. 

And I like shopping at Ross! 

Who doesn’t? What do you do for a living? 

I work as a Makeup Artist now. I also do graphic design. I studied in Argentina at University Inter-Americana in Buenos Aires. 

For films?

Yes. I did makeup for a John Cusack film that was shot in Argentina. It was called Dictablanda. It means the opposite of dictatorship. Director Alejandro Agresti shot it.

He directed The Lake House.

Yes! 

Is the film in English?

Yes. 

Okay cause I didn’t think John Cusack could speak Spanish that well. Any other films?

A German film, a Spanish film called Aparecidos, meaning the disappeared that have been taken by war. I have worked on more than 10 films. I love it so much, and I worked with many around the world. I enjoy fashion, photography and I love teaching classes as a teacher.

How long have you been doing ?

14 years.

Do you do , too?

Yes, and styling. 

What is it like where you are from?

Buenos Aires is very calm. But it’s easier here to be relaxed than in Argentina. It’s very complicated socially and economically out there.

I suppose you haven’t been here long enough to see our making a mess! Are you ?

I have been single for over a year now.

What happened to the guy?

He moved to Sydney, Australia. 

That could put a damper on the relationship. Do you ever want to get married? 

Yes.

What are the top three qualities you look for in a man? 

Funny, intelligent, and he has to have a . I don’t like negativity. 

What are the men like in Argentina? 

.

That sounds like a blast.

They are indecisive.

I think that’s all men. What would you prefer your future husband to be?

I like Latinos, I guess.

Who is your celebrity crush?

Johnny Depp.

Do you want to find love while you are here? 

Yes, that would be great!

I can think of a few good men that would volunteer.
